A safe, purposeful and well-disciplined environment where girls receive quality religious education.
Mahad Ayesha Al-Siddiqa provides girls with quality religious education in a safe, purposeful and well-disciplined environment, so that confident and well-mannered women are prepared who act upon the Qur'an and Sunnah and serve their families and society.
To equip girls with the necessary measure of contemporary education alongside religious education and spiritual training.
To strive to awaken firmness of faith and the spirit of action in girls.
To acquaint them with Islam through teaching of Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh and other subjects in the Arabic language.
To prepare women who are useful and effective for the spread of Islam and the propagation of the faith, who can represent Islam in every field of life and fulfil their duty in the reform of society.
To be a means of religious training for future generations and to acquire the ability to instil Islamic values in children.
After acquiring the Islamic sciences, to be able to remove the confusions of Westernised women and reform them.
To be able to spend domestic life with refinement and become an exemplary woman.
To acquaint them with contemporary sciences alongside religious education, so that, keeping pace with the demands of the times, they can play their religious and da'wah role in society.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the master of the prophets and messengers. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim man and woman." Every kind of knowledge adorns a person, yet the distinction of the religious sciences has been evident in every age. How much emphasis Islam places on acquiring knowledge can be gauged from the fact that the very first verse Allah revealed concerned learning ("Read in the name of your Lord who created"). Yet today we are putting this important religious duty behind us and disobeying this divine command. Bearing this in mind, the scholars of Islam established Islamic institutions not only in the Muslim world but even in places like Europe and America; the land of Deoband has held a special distinction in this regard, from where more than fifty thousand scholars of the Ummah and leaders of the community have emerged so far.
Islam has not commanded only men to acquire Islamic knowledge; women are equal partners in this command. Today Islamic institutions are being established for men, but negligence is being shown in the religious education of women, although the responsibility of reforming Islamic society falls more heavily on women. A child cannot be moulded into the mould of humanity until the mother trains him properly, and for proper training, education is as necessary as food is for a human being; yet in this advanced age we see that Muslim women, instead of moving forward on the path of religion, are continually moving backwards.
We have established a religious educational institution for women on the scholarly and historic soil of Deoband. Its affiliation (nisbat) is to the Mother of the Believers, Jurist of the Ummah, Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), and, in connection with Deoband, the honoured name of Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi (may Allah have mercy on him), founder of Darul Uloom Deoband, has also been made part of its name. The greatest distinction of this institution is that it is a beautiful blend of religious and contemporary sciences; here not only religious and contemporary education is imparted, but the reform of the social and societal ills of women is also kept in view. In this institution we have included tafsir, principles of tafsir, hadith, principles of hadith, seerah, fiqh, principles of fiqh, philosophy of Shari'ah, creed, Arabic language and literature, grammar, composition and rhetoric, and Islamic history, along with English and spoken Arabic.
The real target of this Mahad's system of education is the religious and Arabic sciences, but in line with the requirements of the present age, contemporary sciences have also been included in the curriculum; along with this, arrangements have also been made for teaching home management, embroidery and tailoring, because these things are indispensable for women and are also needed by them. At Mahad Ayesha Al-Siddiqa Qasim ul Uloom lil Banat, the Holy Qur'an is taught as a book of da'wah and tabligh, and an effort is made to prepare students in such a way that they become well aware of the problems of the present age, and that their conviction is firm that Islam is not merely a collection of a few beliefs and acts of worship, but a complete code of life for all aspects of a person's collective and individual life.
We hope and are confident that if you truly incline toward the reform of society and religious education, you will choose our institution for the religious and contemporary education of your daughters. The Mahad also has a hostel system so that girls from outside Deoband can also enrol and study; an effort has been made to give the students a home-like environment, and alongside education their religious and moral training is also carried out; the Mahad's students are at all times under the supervision of female teachers.
